Nameri National Park is a scenic national park located in Sonitpur district, Assam, at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. It is known for its rich biodiversity, the Jia Bhoroli River, birdwatching, and adventure activities.

History

Nameri was declared a National Park in 1998. It is also a Tiger Reserve and is home to several endangered species, making it an important wildlife conservation area.

How To Reach

The nearest airport is Tezpur Airport (about 35 km). Rangapara Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Taxis and buses are available from Tezpur and Guwahati.
